wtf? what is cyber?
cyber is pretty new, and is a pretty small subculture, but it is growing FAST. Cyber culture originated in the united kingdom, but has spread to many other countries. There are lots of night clubs for people who belong to the cyber subculture popping up all over the place. Cyber is kinda like, CandyKids baby...its baby from the future? o_O. Its has roots in goth & rivethead as well as rave scenes. In my opinion cyber is the most attractive style out of all the subcultures i've mentioned on my site. Its not plain like goth, overly crazy looking like the club kids, or focused around looking like a child like the candy kids. (those 3 are my other favorites, btw)
What do cyber kids look like?
Cyber kids wear bright,colorful and sometimes metallic clothes that look futuristic. Goggles and blinking toys/guns are popular accessories. Computer themed outfits (binary code prints, clothing and accessories that have designs that resemble the inside of a computer) are also very popular. Brightly colored corsets with some sort of reflective tape or material is popular as well. If you want to find some cyber clothing fotus.com, plastikwrap.com,Futurstate.com, and cyberdog.com seem to be popular, but i must say, cyber fashion is EXPENSIVE. Cyber kids often have excessive facial piercings...i don't really know why. Cyber kids often wear big ass platforms. Demonia stacks seem to be hella fucking popular. Demonia must be making money because they have a shoe for every freaking subculture...but back to cyber. Other popular brands for cyber shoes are New Rock, Transmuter, and my personal favorite: Swear Alternative. Cyber kids usually wear bright dayglow or glow in the dark make-up Cyber is what REALLY got synthetic dreads and falls out there. All the cyber kids seem to have some sort of brightly colored synthetic material in their hair. Cyber falls can be made out of loose hair, synth dreads, Crin, foam, or rexlace, all usually in bright or metallic colors. An example of tubular crin falls are below.
What do cyber kids listen to?
Cyber kids usually listen to electronic types of music. They often listen to genres like electronic body music, futurepop, industrial, power noise, main-stream dance music genres such as trance and techno, and other electronic genres including drum and bass, synthpop, and intelligent dance music. There is no way that i can say all of them listen to this, or that this is all they listen to, but this seems to be the popular choice.
